First edition of Urban Art Fair in new york
From june 29 to july 03, 2017 at spring studios
Launched in Paris in 2016, Urban Art Fair has become a key event of the urban art movement.
Its first New York edition will take place next June with more than 20 international galleries
hailing from Paris, Berlin, Hong Kong, Miami, the Bronx… Urban Art Fair highlights leading
street art galleries and artists as well as emerging projects. The fair will also present Urban
Influence, an exhibition focused on urban fashion. For the occasion Patti Astor will reopen
her legendary FUN Gallery (1981-85) and a series of performances and installations will take
over the rooftop and the facade of Spring Studios.
Urban Art Fair | New York 2017 will convene national and international leading street art galleries meticulously chosen to achieve a diverse and quality-driven art fair experience including Jonathan LeVine Gallery (Jersey City), Red Birds Galleries (New York), The Bushwick Collective (Brooklyn), Fabien Castanier Gallery (Miami), WallWorks NY (Bronx) as well as European galleries such as Brugier-Rigail (Paris), Urban Spree (Berlin), Galerie 42b (Paris) and Galerie Joel Knafo Art (Paris). Bel Air Fine Art (Geneva), Art In The Game (London) and more.
 Rising French outsiders like ART IN THE GAME and PDP Gallery will be also present.Artists

The fair will showcase the most historic street artists such as Futura 2000,Banksy, CRASH, SEENKeith HaringNoé-Two as much as a new generation of emerging urban artists including Hopare and Levalet.

Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant are invited as guests of honor. These two photographers known for documenting the New York graffiti scene will present a selection of their best images tracing the history of street art.

FUN Gallery: the comeback

Patti Astor, the undisputed early 80’s NYC “Queen of The Downtown Scene” is bringing her legendary FUN Gallery to life again in a Pop-Up Exhibit, with original artworks, video, and music by Kenny Scharf, Futura 2000, Keith Haring and more iconic artists. A rare group of artwork by FUN artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat will be up for sale.


The facade and the rooftop of Spring Studios will also welcome site-specific installations and performances, by Mark Jenkins and many others.

A fashion exhibition and pop-up store

Urban Art Fair presents Urban Influence, a fashion exhibition in collaboration with Les Nouveaux Créateurs: the line-up includes artist Michael De Feo and designers such as HEAD OF STATE+, Guntas, Collina Strada, Sanchez-Kane…

Urban Art Fair is also proud to present collaborations between agnès b. and prominent street artists: Lek, L’Atlas and JonOne.

The exhibit highlights the various creative interactions between urban art and the fashion industry. Street
artists from Urban Art Fair such as
JonOne, L’Atlas (agnès b.)
and progressive fashion designers
will collaborate to create unique pieces underlining their vision/range of the definition of “urban fashion.”
This 5-day event will gather dynamic fashion designers, such as
agnès b.
, and renowned artists from
around the world. It will take place in Spring Studios on the mezzanine level, offering open views of the
galleries exhibited below in Urban Art Fair.
To create a unique and exclusive atmosphere, separate from Urban Art Fair, original installations and sets will
be designed specifically for the fashion exhibition by one of the most famous street artists in the international
