A new national art initiative, the Harmony Art Collective, has seen four top street artists deliver workshops to over 300 young Australians across six states. The collaboration enabled the young participants, many newly-arrived to Australia, to express their cultural heritage and self-identity through art.
The exhibition will be officially opened by Senator the Hon Zed Seselja, Assistant Minister for Social Services and Multicultural Affairs. Short speeches by Helen Kellie, SBS Chief Content Officer and Kagi Kowa, workshop participant. The large scale artworks will be showcased at a public exhibition in Darling Quarter’s art space OPEN from 15 March – 25 April, to celebrate Harmony Day 2017.
